I have explained that the way you have evaluated the speed, with ICONICS sample client, is incorrect. Any other client that shows the difference, while being tested for the right thing?

Yes.

With third party tools it does seem that the entire Address Space is being browsed and much faster. See related post:

No, because OPC Data Access specification does not support such wildcard subscriptions.

Are you able to browse your address space faster with some other OPC client?

We are looking for a solution to allow wild card subscription. Initially we were going to implement this by browsing the entire address space and then processing the wild card subscription against each tag in the stored address space to see if it matches or not.

This is not feasible because reading the entire address space, using OPC Labs, is extremely slow (hours for our OPC server).

As a result is there the option of using wild card subscriptions directly with the OPC Labs EasyDAClient? Something like:

SubscribeItem("127.0.0.1","ICONICS.SimulatorOPCDA.2","Station.01.*")
