Ok, let me investigate the DCOM setup first since that is more than likely the issue. If this is going to be a 'pain' then I'll just run the server on the local machine. Thanks.

Both options you have presented should work. You can pass a string such as "192.168.1.123", or "OPC-SERVER-PC". This said, going from local to remote is usually not easy, mainly due to DCOM configuration issues. It would be really helpful to know all details of the error (exception) you are getting (including InnerException, if any) - can you please send them?
The DCOM configuration is the most likely cause, and having the error code can help. You can also try some other OPC client to connect from your machine to the remote server, and see if it can connect or not; this helps to distinguish whether you have a general problem (such as DCOM configuration), or whether it is an issue specific to QuickOPC.NET.

If the OPC Server is running on another machine than the PC my client is on, what machinename do I use in the BrosweServers method? I have tried the IP address of the PC and the network PC name but both generate an error. I can connect to OPC servers running on my local machine no problem.
thanks.
