Is the "http://opcua.demo-this.com:51211/UA/SampleServer" OPC UA server local?

Hello.
The demo server is not installed to your computer, we run it on the Web.

The demo servers has endpoints for opc.tcp, http and https protocols. We use http in our examples and demos, but that is only because it is the one that is most commonly allowed through user's firewalls. But, http as such is not among currently published OPC UA profiles, and therefore is not commonly used (and, for interoperability, it should not be used).

UA Expert probably does not support http either; it has no reason to.

The two recommended protocols are opc.tcp and https.

URLs of all endpoints are here: opclabs.doc-that.com/files/onlinedocs/QuickOpc/Latest/User%2...PC%20UA%20Sample%20Server.html .

Best regards

Hi,

Is the "opcua.demo-this.com:51211/UA/SampleServer" OPC UA server that is installed with your QuickOPC local or on the web?

Should every UA client be able to connect to it? I am trying with UA Expert and I am unable to connect.

Thank you.

Michael
