Hello.
Thank you for the information.

Have you tried some other OPC UA client to your server, with comparable set of subscribed items and their sampling&publishing rates, and if so, what were the results?
If not, what leads you to believe that this is a client-side problem?

Do not send any Wireshark captures unless instructed to do so. Specifically, it is pointless doing so with an old QuickOPC version.

Best regards

Hello,

In the overall context, the connection consists of 4 subscriptions and approx. 450 nodes.

The most important subscription comprises approx. 50 nodes and is operated with a (Sampling / Publish) 50ms / 50ms setting. (CommandHandling) (Time-critical)

The remaining 400 nodes or subscriptions are automatically created by the client without any specified user settings.

There, subscriptions with timings of (Sampling / Publish) 300 / x, 1000 / x etc. are created and operated.

The client (IPC) is connected to the Beckhoff PLC (CX5130-0175) via LAN (1000Mbit).

I'll send you Wireshark logs. Since these warnings / errors lead to information loss)

Hello,

I have some questions:

1. Relative to the client program, is the OP server located on the same machine, or access over LAN, or over WAN?
2. Roughly. how many items are you subscribed to?
3. Roughly, what are the sampling rates you specified for them?

Notes:

A. You wrote "... although the specific nodes were subscribed to with very fast timings (subscriptions).". The timings (by this, I mean the sampling or publishing intervals) should be chosen based on what the application needs, and not unnecessary faster. Speeding up the timings unnecessarily is most likely going to introduce or increase the problems, and not eliminate or reduce them.

B. You should make a test with latest released QuickOPC version. Further troubleshooting only makes sense if the problem persists with the latest released version.

Best regards

Hello OPC-Labs team,

we have problems with the pub / sub process and keep running into problems in tests.

The error patterns are diverse, from a subscription (request timeout) to an extremely high latency of seconds, although the specific nodes were subscribed to with very fast timings (subscriptions).

I have attached two screenshots to the topic for you, can you explain the cause of the errors?

OPC UA Server Beckhoff SPS (CX 5000 Serie)
Clientversion 5.54.1311 (C#)

Kind regards
